Helicentre Aviation Announces Winner of 2025 CPL(H)

Helicentre Aviation Academy is delighted to announce our winner of this year's Commercial Pilot Licence Scholarship. This prestigious Scholarship provides full funding for the successful candidate’s post-PPL(H) training, including hour building, the ATPL(H) theoretical knowledge course, and the complete CPL(H) modular flying course, amounting to approximately 150 hours of flight training.

This year’s applicants were of an extremely high calibre, all demonstrating strong commitment and passion for their future in aviation. Candidates underwent a competitive selection process, involving interviews, presentations and various group assessments with our Scholarship Committee.

We are very proud to announce that our 2025 CPL(H) Scholarship winner is Jack Aldred. Throughout the selection process, Jack showed outstanding focus and enthusiasm for advancing his career in aviation. His passion for flying and determination to succeed make him the deserving recipient of this award, and we look forward to supporting him on his journey to a successful career as a pilot.

Investing in the Future of Helicopter Aviation

Helicentre Aviation’s Scholarship Programme has been instrumental in supporting aspiring pilots in achieving their professional goals. Chairman Chris Line explained:

“Our Scholarship programme has been extremely successful, providing winners with much-needed funding to complete their professional training. It has also proved to be instrumental in identifying extreme talent, not just in the winning candidates but also in the overall high calibre of applicants. The programme has enabled us to provide numerous students with an array of career opportunities, including working for Helicentre as Charter Pilots, as well as Line Pilots on our numerous utility contracts.”

He continued:

“Our Scholarship programme was created to meet the ever-growing demand for helicopter pilots and has proven to be the biggest single investment in the future of our industry that we as a company have made. We are extremely proud of the quality of talent we have discovered and developed thanks to our Scholarship programme.”

As part of the scholarship, Jack will continue his CPL(H) ground school and start hour building, followed by the completion of the Commercial flying course on the Cabri G2. This training will be fully funded by Helicentre Aviation, taking him from his current stage through to the successful completion of his professional qualification.

Finally, Helicentre Aviation Academy would like to extend a sincere thank you to everyone who took part in this year’s Scholarship process. We wish all participants the very best in their continued training and future careers; they represent the next generation of talented professionals within our industry.
