How to enrol with Helicentre?

Depending on which training pathway you wish to follow, you can enrol on either our Integrated or Modular Course.

Integrated CPL(H) Course

The Integrated CPL(H) is a full-time programme designed for students wishing to obtain their Commercial Pilot Licence (Helicopter) on an intensive basis, with the course taking 12-15 months.

Included In The Course:

  • Required books, materials and computer-based training software

  • Student pilot uniform

  • 750 hours fully delivered classroom (or virtual) TK instruction

  • 135 hours of flight training in the Cabri G2 (plus pre-flight briefings)

  • Includes dual, solo, SPIC and night flying

  • 12 month Membership (includes single-engine landing fees at Leicester)

  • 13 ATPL(H) examination fees (sat at a CAA exam centre)

  • Radiotelephony practical test fee

  • Up to two hours of aircraft hire for the CPL(H) skill test

  • CPL(H) skill test CAA examiner fee

Modular CPL(H) Course

Our Modular CPL(H) programme is offered and curated to fit around your existing commitments. This course means you can obtain your CPL(H) but on an ad-hoc basis. It gives you the flexibility to choose when you want to study and build your flying hours. 

Includes up to 45 hours dual or solo flight instruction with pre-flight briefings. As well as 12 months membership, starter pack, 10 hours ground instruction, 9 written exams, RT practical exam, WILCO package, aircraft hire for skill test and examiner fee.

Mandatory Course Components:

  • Private Pilots Licence (Helicopter) 

Distance (flexible) or residential (full-time) learning available to study for your 13 Commercial Theoretical Knowledge exams. Alongside this, you'll need to build your flying hours to 150. 

  • ATPL(H) Theoretical Knowledge and Hour Building 

Complete your Commercial Pilot Licence flying course to a minimum requirement of 35 hours in as little as four weeks. This will include flight instruction, your night qualification and aircraft hire for your skill test.
