Helicentre Aviation is seeking to recruit a Ground Operations Assistant, to work alongside our dynamic and forward-thinking operations team, providing support to all areas of the business, predominantly airside operations.


This individual will need to be enthusiastic, willing to learn, and capable of paying attention to detail in all areas of their role, and maintaining superior hygiene levels at our London Oxford Airport base. Tasks must be executed carefully and following strict standard operating procedures particularly when it comes to cleaning of aircraft interiors and avionics, refuelling and entering tech records data. This process will need to be taken care of efficiently but accurately, to ensure the smooth running of the operation.


Minimum Requirements:


Applicants having a background in aviation would be preferred, but having good situational awareness, practical skills, common sense, and a positive attitude would be essential to the role. The ideal candidate should be a problem solver, who is always prepared to help other members of the team and find solutions. Driving license essential.


Responsibilities:


Responsibilities will include health monitoring and trend checking of personnel, temperature scanning, preparation of resources within flight training and dispatch areas, as well as other practical duties in the hangar and office areas.


  • Managing fuel and oil stock levels

  • Fuel quality checks

  • Handling deliveries of fuel and all goods

  • Visiting aircraft handling

  • Ground handling of aircraft

  • Tech records (ensuring compliance with aircraft technical documents)

  • Cockpit camera and airside technology upkeep

  • General maintenance of the buildings and grounds

  • Management of company vehicles

  • Responsible for all basic cleaning in and around the facility including aircraft, simulators, hangar, and offices

  • Cleaning of floors, rooms, surfaces and equipment, including dusting, mopping, sweeping and vacuuming

  • Routine cleaning of kitchen and toilet areas, including restocking of dispensers, emptying bins, cleaning and sanitizing fixtures

  • Performing stock checks on hygiene equipment and supplies

  • Re-stocking and maintenance of hygiene equipment and supplies.

  • Monitoring and maintaining sanitation and organisation of assigned areas

  • Responsible for maintaining a clean working environment

  • Using specialist cleaning equipment for use on aircraft (training will be provided)


Working Hours
Five days on, two days off on a roster to include some weekend days
