What Our Customers Say

Completing the Integrated CPL(H) course at Helicentre was an incredibly rewarding and enjoyable experience, and one that I’ll always look back on fondly as part of my journey to becoming a professional helicopter pilot.

Having visited Helicentre, I chose to train with them because of the well-structured and intensive nature of their integrated training programme, which offered the opportunity to gain my commercial helicopter pilot’s licence via the fastest available route. Training full-time allowed me to fully immerse myself in the process, helping me maintain momentum and make consistent progress throughout.

The training was certainly intense and challenging at times, but that’s also what made it so rewarding. The instructors were incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, creating a great environment in which to learn and develop my skills.

One of my favourite parts of the experience was the camaraderie amongst everyone on the course. There was a brilliant team spirit, with everyone always willing to help and support each other along the way. There were also many fantastic flying experiences, with particular highlights including the London heli-lanes, the night flying course and learning to do what a helicopter does best - confined area take-offs and landings.

My advice to future students would be to throw yourself into it and give it everything you’ve got. Make the most of every opportunity to broaden your experience, particularly when you reach the stage of planning your own flights and starting your hour building. Take new challenges head-on and most importantly, try to enjoy every moment of the incredible journey ahead of you.

Becoming a professional helicopter pilot was something I’d wanted to do for a long time, and since completing my CPL(H) and Instrument Rating, I’ve been fortunate enough to secure my dream job flying the Sikorsky S-92 to offshore energy platforms in the North Sea. It’s an incredibly proud and rewarding feeling to have achieved something I’ve worked towards for so long, and I’m very grateful for the support of everyone at Helicentre in helping me get here.

Wonderful experience fitting a helicopter as part of a trial lesson with half hour flight time. The instructor is professional, very polite and competent. He showed me many manoeuvres and allowed me to practice under his guidance. Hovering, turning and using the pedals cyclic and the collective each by itself and then in combination to achieve certain outcomes prior demonstrated. Recommended for aviation enthusiasts and flight simmers.
