Helicopter Pilot Career Seminar
Our Helicopter Pilot Career Seminar is provided free of charge to attend to raise awareness about careers within the helicopter industry. The seminar is delivered by Head of Training Captain Sarah Bowen and offers a step-by-step guide to obtaining your commercial helicopter pilot licence – CPL(H), and going from student pilot to industry professional. The majority of our graduates started their careers by attending a seminar and they are now flying HEMS (Air Ambulance), Police, Offshore (oil and gas), Utility and countless other exciting roles all over the world.
Topics covered include pilot selection, training, scholarships, bursaries, funding, and employment opportunities. The BSc (Hons) Professional Aviation Pilot Practice, a degree course delivered jointly with Middlesex Univeristy is also covered. There will be an opportnity to speak to staff, instructors and student pilots, tour the facilities and to ask any questions you may have. Light refreshments will be served and literature will be available to take home on the day.
By attending the seminar you will be given the opportunity to fly a Cabri G2 helicopter and take the controls for less than half price on the day (just £99). These introductory lessons always sell out so please ensure you pre-book. Flying is optional, and you are more than welcome to attend for the seminar only, however taking an introductory flight is the only way to know whether this is a career for you, and it is a great opporutnity to put your first half hour of flight time in your logbook at a hugely discounted rate.
Whether you already have a Private Pilot’s Licence, or you are a complete newcomer to aviation, the Career Seminar is the best place to find out how to achieve your goals and get yourself into the helicopter industry.
