A must-attend helicopter safety evening will take place on the 4th September in the Coventry Airport South Terminal. The evening is the fourth in a series of informal safety nights organised by HelicopterSafety.org and supported by the CAA, BHAB and NATS.
The format will be similar to the previous evening at Redhill, where a presentation with figures updated to include recently released accident reports will be aired, and experienced pilots will talk about accident causes and how we can all help prevent them. Everyone is welcome, from student helicopter pilots to commercial pilots and instructors.
Coventry Airport have kindly donated the use of a large room in the terminal building and they will require everyone to provide some form of ID on arrival. If you would like to attend then please visit the Coventry Safety Evening website and make sure you register your place, as although it's absolutely free of charge to attend, the airport does need to know the names of those who will be attending.
Click here to download a poster containing details of the safety evening, and please spread the word - pass it onto other pilots and print it out for your flying school wall. This is a very important cause and if it can help prevent more pilots from becoming statistics then it will be more than worthwhile attending.
