The next Robinson Safety Course which will be conducted by Captain Dick Sanford, the UK based Robinson representative, will be hosted by Helicentre Aviation on the 6th and 7th July 2009. This is an absolutely invaluable course for any Robinson helicopter pilot, whether you are an self-fly-hirer or owner.
The two hours of advanced emergencies flight training that will follow to obtain your course completion certificate can be arranged for a date during the week or weekend after the safety course groundschool is complete. It can be done in either the R22 or R44.
The course curriculum includes a review of past R22 and R44 accidents, their causes and how they could be avoided, helicopter theory, and critical flight conditions. The course also covers the R22 and R44 Pilot Operating Handbook (POH) and Manoeuvre Guide and R22 Flight Training Guide, an in-depth look at the R22 and R44 systems and a review of maintenance and pre-flight procedures, a course review, written examination and critique.
Find out more about the course in our events section, or contact us to book your place. This is a popular course so book early to avoid disappointment.
