PPL(H) Navigation Brush-Up Course

Navigation is an important subject, and one which should be thoroughly understood to ensure you can find your way around the sky and avoid airspace infringements.

If you need a little extra help to brush up on your navigation knowledge before you sit the exam, or you feel you falling behind with your self-study and need a push in the right direction, it's a worthwhile class to attend.

The course is planned to take place this month and will consist of two sessions of two hours each, either on a Tuesday evening or Saturday late afternoon, and will be taught by flight instructor Sarah Bowen.

It will be held in small groups and will cover various aspects of Navigation, including a through re-cap of the most important flight computer functions, as well as a practical plotting session that will help prep you for your theoretical navigation paper.

Getting your ground school exams out of the way will save you getting the point where you have completed the majority of the flying and are left with lots of theory to catch up on.

Attending a brush up course will give you the chance to interact with other students, get a better understanding of the subject and could save you doing a significant amount of extra hours at the end of your PPL course.

We recommend a minimum of two sessions, but if you feel you need more then this can be arranged at a convenient time. The brush up course fees are Â£40 +VAT for each two-hour session (Â£20 per hour).

Currently we are looking at running the course on Tuesday 10th and 17th, or Saturday 21st and 28th. If neither are suitable simply let us know when you are available and we will try to accommodate you.
