Fly a Helicopter All the Way to the Pyrenees!

We're doing it again... the famous Helicentre Luchon Trip is on the cards for May 8th - 11th. Join in on this exclusive once in a lifetime adventure! Bagneres-de-Luchon, or Luchon for short, is a spa town and a ski resort in the Haute-Garonne department in south-western France.

In 2008 a group of instructors, students and hour builders from Helicentre set off from Coventry, and flew via Le Touquet, Blois and Limoges, to Bagneres-de-Luchon in the Pyrenees. This May, 2010, we will be revisiting this amazing journey and invite all hour-builders and students to come along. Helicopter available to self-fly-hire include the Bell 206 Jetranger, Robinson R22 and R44, and the Schweizer 300.

Currently three helicopters have already been booked and there is still one spare place remaining in the JetRanger, which would be a great opportunity for a pilot to benefit from the whole trip yet only paying for the three or four hours flying that they fly. Cost sharing is an excellent way to build helicopter hours, but for those who have low hours or have never done a trip across Europe before, we have instructors available to act as safety pilots and impart their knowledge to you en-route!

These kind of trips are what flying helicopters is all about - the exclusivity of flying an aircraft yourself all the way to the South of France is something that simply has to be experienced at least once in your lifetime. Even if you haven't learnt to fly with us at Helicentre, if you want to tag along and hire one of our helicopter and in / or instructors we welcome you to join in the fun! Private helicopter owners are also welcome to come along and safety pilots or instructors can be provided.
