Fancy Some Aerobatics?

Whilst out on an hour building trip back in December, Dave Usher and Richard Tyrer stopped off at Nottingham where they bumped into John Reynolds, former British Superbike Champion.

As they chatted about bikes, flying and all things mechanical, it emerged that his mate instructs in an aerobatic fixed wing, none other than the Extra 300 (which is used in the Redbull Air Race World Series!).

Desperate to arrange a flight in this wonderful machine, Dave explores the possibility and John suggests that his colleague, who runs Extra Aviation and instructs in the Extra 300 would be only too happy to offer 30 minute aerobatic experiences to Helicentre Students and Hour Builders.

So what we propose is that you join us for a helicopter fly-in to Nottingham (students are most welcome to tag along with their instructors) where you will have the chance to meet John Reynolds himself and go for a flight in the Extra 300 (at a cost of around Â£170 for a 30 minute experience).

It will also be a good opportunity to go and visit the Indian Restaurant which is on-site at Nottingham Airfield (although probably best do this after going for a spin in the aerobatic machine!!).

The date for this event is yet to be confirmed and viability will depend on numbers as the company needs a minimum number to make it worthwhile.

It will most likely be on a Sunday or a Friday in late February, so if you are interested please let us know as soon as possible and we'll reserve a place for you. Dates will be confirmed once we have a better idea of numbers.
