You may remember Dave Usher passed his flight instructor test a couple of months back. Well he has now upgraded his licence to a full FI(H) rating.
Every new instructor once qualified, must spend the first 100 hours of instruction being supervised, just in the sense that a more senior instructor needs to be on site to offer advice and support. This allows the restricted instructor to gain experience whilst still being able to liaise with someone more experienced.
It didn't take Dave long to clock up his instructional hours and can now exercise the full privileges of his instructor rating, which include being able to send students on their first solo flight and first solo navigation exercise!
Dave is an inspiration to every wannabe pilot as he has got through his training and obtained his ratings so quickly. He is now building his experience in the industry exponentially and is loving every minute of it. You can read more about Dave and other Helicentre success stories here.
Well done Dave!
