Coventry Airport Due to Re-Open Shortly

To all Helicentre customers,

As most of you are aware, Coventry Airport closed without any real warning on the 9th December 2009.

Following the sudden news, Helicentre immediately opened at Leicester Aerodrome, enabling us to continue to provide our customers with helicopter services over the Christmas period with minimal disruption.

In addition Helicentre gained CAA approval to run all courses previously available at Coventry from the Leicester base.

Today I am pleased to announce that there is positive news relating to the re-opening of Coventry Airport and we expect the airport to re-open unlicensed within the next seven days, and then back to normal licensed status shortly afterwards.

I would like to thank all of you for your support through these unfortunate circumstances and hope that these issues have not caused too much inconvenience.

We are all looking forward to resuming normal services and I am pleased to say that the situation has resulted in some exciting new opportunities which we will formally announce in the very near future.

Although Leicester was originally a short term solution, we are delighted to be able to offer our training and charter services from this location and fully intend to keep the operation as a satellite base once Coventry returns to normal operation.

Again many thanks for your support, patience and continued business.

Captain Chris Line
MD and Chief Pilot
