Congratulations to Luke Schofield who went solo for the first time today in the R22!
After a few dual circuits at Coventry airport the sun was shining and it was time for the instructor to get out, and Luke to take to the circuit on his own!
Luke started flying with Helicentre in late September, when he completely got the bug for flying helicopters.
Since that all important first flight he has joined in with various Helicentre events including the trip to Luchon in the Pyrenees.
He was very pleased with his solo circuit and was amazed at the rate of climb he got on on departure!
Luke is looking forward to completing the rest of his PPL(H) but plans to take his sunglasses on the next flight!!
