Instructor Rating

Once you have achieved your CPL(H) you may choose to move straight onto the Flight Instructors rating. Helicopter training organisations are generally busy with trial lessons and pilot training, and the market for flight instructors is better than it has been for some time.

Nothing will improve your flying skills as much as the flight instructors course and learning how to teach student pilots how to fly. The course itself is challenging with a combination of flying and ground school. To commence the course you will need to have attained a total of 250 hours flight in helicopters and it usually takes around four weeks to complete. We operate with some of the most experienced instructors in the country, and the course comprises:

* 30 hours flight time
* 125 hours theoretical knowledge instruction
