AS355 Twin Squirrel

The AS355 is a hardworking, extremely reliable and economical twin-engine helicopter, fitted with FADEC. It has the reliability and security that comes with twin engines and redundant systems which makes it ideal for missions flown above urban environments.

The AS355 has the capacity or one pilot and 5 or 6 passengers, and cruises at around 145mph. It was originally was developed onward from the AS350 Single Squirrel and whilst looks very similar, it is far more powerful and offers a larger lifting capacity.

Due to the reliability of having two engines, the aircraft also has the approvals to operate at lower levels than single engine helicopters so the AS355 is often chosen for filming and photographic work when operating over congested and built up areas.
