R44 Discovery Day

Pilot the Robinson R44 for a whole two and a half hours hands on! This experience also includes refreshments, lunch and ground school. On your Flight Discovery Day you will arrive at Helicentre Aviation in the morning for an in-depth pre-flight brief with your personal flight instructor, before you take to the air in an R22 helicopter for your first flying lesson of the day.

Once back at the airfield you will debrief and then have lunch with your instructor before you take to the skies once again for your second flight. At the end of your discovery day you will have a good understanding of what is involved in gaining your Helicopter Private Pilots Licence, and furthermore you can count the hours flown towards your PPL (H).

Please note the maximum weight for a lesson in the R44 is 21st.
