Arriving on Public Transport

Travelling by Train
Leicester Rail Station is just a 10 minute taxi ride (less than five miles) away from Leicester Airport. Call National Rail Enquiries on 08457 48 49 50 for timetable information.

Travelling by Bus
Bus service X3 operates from Leicester and Market Harborough, and passes through Great Glen, which is few minutes by taxi from the airport.There are no direct bus services to the airport so the most convenient option is a taxi.

Arriving by Road

GPS Information The postcode for your Sat Nav is LE2 2FG. Please note that coming from the Oadby direction your Sat Nav may tell you that you have arrived about 100 yards too early.The airport is on the left hand side coming from Oadby. The airport entrance is clearly signposted and Helicentre have two large signs on the fence at the entrance.

From Leicester
Take the A6 (London Road) from Leicester city centre towards Oadby for approximately 1.5 miles. Turn left at the traffic lights signposted Stoughton, onto the A6030 (Stoughton Road). At the roundabout take the second exit onto Gartree Road. After approximately 2 miles you will see the entrance to the airport on your left hand side. Turn left into the airport drive and follow the road past the Karting centre until you see a car park. Helicentre Aviation is located to the far left hand side as you enter the car park (next to the tower / paved patio area).

From the M69/M1 Junction
At the roundabout, take the exit onto the A5460 towards Leicester Ring Road (follow signs for Leicester South / East). Stay in the left hand lane and take the slip road (sharp left) onto the A563 (Lubbesthorpe Way). Continue along the Ring Road passing several roundabouts and traffic lights. At the Oadby Racecourse roundabout take the second exit onto the A6 (signposted Market Harborough / Airport). Turn left at the B667 (New Street) and then right onto Gartree Road. After approximately 1 mile you will see the entrance to the airport on your left.

From Birmingham
Take the M6 South and at junction 2, take the M69 signposted Leicester. Keep left at the fork and stay in lane for M69 to merge onto the M69. At the end of the M69, follow directions for “From the M69/M1 Junction” above.

From the North
Exit the M1 at Junction 21 (signposted Coventry/Leicester) and take the third exit onto the A5460 (Ring Road). Follow directions for “From the M69/M1 Junction” above.

From the South
Exit the M1 at Junction 21 (signposted Coventry/Leicester) and take the third exit onto the A5460 (Ring Road). Follow directions for “From the M69/M1 Junction” above.
